Assembly
Take the Top Shell and place it on top of the Bottom Body, making sure the "right sides" (the smooth sides) are facing out. Align the stitches of both pieces. The turtle's head and feet should be pointing out.
Insert your hook into the next stitch on the top shell and also through a corresponding stitch on the bottom/body.
Work a sc through both layers to join them. Continue to sc around, working through the stitches of both the Top Shell and Bottom Body simultaneously.
Before you have crocheted all the way around, pause to add a generous amount of stuffing between the two shell pieces to make the turtle plump.
Continue working sc stitches until the opening is fully closed.
Sl st to the first sc to join. F/O and weave in your final tail securely. Your turtle is complete!
